Cares - Business in the Community, a brokerage service providing local charities and community groups
with business volunteers to take part in volunteering projects.
I am always looking for new projects in the region to make links with. The way our projects work is that a team of up to 12 business volunteers spend a day at a project, this could be painting and decorating a community centre or old peoples home (for example we had a company decorating a day room at an Alzheimer’s day centre) or creating a community garden at a centre (we have had groups creating reading gardens at primary schools in the region) or hosting a party for service users at a centre (we have held Christmas parties at St Oswald’s Hospice).

We require an energetic and inspirational person who has experience of working with pre-school children and the wider community to recruit, select and support volunteers through accredited and non accredited learning. We require an experienced Chef, qualified to City & Guilds 706 level 2 or equivalent, to join our existing catering team. You will be required to produce home style cooking with flair and imagination, working with fresh, quality ingredients to create fine quality food, at realistic prices.
