Herrington Burn YMCA operates a 70 bed residential centre specialising in outdoor education called Weardale House based in Ireshopeburn in Upper Weardale within the heart of the North Pennines.
We are looking for a dynamic new management team to help drive this exciting programme into the future.

Business & Marketing Manager (£25,000 full time basic + incentive based on performance) Highly competent individual to have a strategic overview of the operating practices of the Centre and ensure effective marketing and business development is at the core of all work carried out. Experience of outdoor education would be preferred but not essential

Deputy Manager (£25,000 pro rata full time – possibility of extending out of season seasonal) - An experienced and suitably qualified person with a proven track record in similar environment to be responsible for all direct delivery, licensing requirements and management of instructors ensuring safe and best practice is adhered to at all times.

Instructors (£11,925 pro rata full time –possibility of extending out of season subject to customer demand) – An experienced and suitably qualified person in outdoor education, with good people skills and a good knowledge of engaging with young people, often demonstrating challenging behaviour.

Free lance Instructors needed on an as and when basis – suitably qualified and experienced in outdoor education with good people skills and a good knowledge of engaging with young people often demonstrating challenging behaviour.
