An exiting opportunity has arisen for a number of Youth Workers either qualified or trainees to join the team at this Sunderland based voluntary youth sector organisation Youth Almighty are Sunderland newest provider of youth provision and are rapidly expanding due to its unique governance which is 100% youth led with funding recently being secured from a number of sources. Youth Almighty are predominantly a Centre Based Provider of high standard youth provision but in addition we have a distinct model of detached engagement work that targets some of the area’s hardest to reach young people, working closely with LMAPs (Local Multi Agency Partnership). We are now seeking exceptional individuals to engage with young people, form a trusted relationship and to support them. The Role You will work within a team of Youth Workers whose role is to locate and work with disaffected young people that are disengaged from mainstream provision and provide mentoring support and opportunities for personal and social development and to enable their transition into further education, training or employment. Candidate Requirements

At least 6 months experience of working with challenging young people in either a detached or mainstream setting supporting their personal and social development.
Completed an introduction to youth work or equivalent as a minimum.
The ability to research local areas and seek out various opportunities for young people that provide opportunities for personal and social development.
An understanding of the needs of socially excluded young people, skills to communicate effectively with young people and the ability to motivate and engage them positively.
An ability to work flexibly and manage time effectively.

Young Persons Support Worker

25 Hours Salary £15,600
The A690 Youth Initiative is looking to appoint a Youth Worker to deliver a support programme for young people aged 11 – 19.
We have secured funding through the Northern Rock Foundation for 3 years to deliver this project.
We are looking for a qualified Youth Worker with proven ability to develop positive working relationships with difficult to engage young people. The successful candidate will be supported by the A690 team and we are looking to appoint ASAP.

The A690 Youth Initiative is looking to recruit a highly motivated and committed project manager who has the ability to further develop this successful youth project.

We require someone with at least 3 years experience in a senior role with project management and delivery experience. Committed to providing quality youth provision, a proven track record of delivering real results and capable of working to tight deadlines. You will have a sound knowledge of Funding/Commissioning procedures, strategic working, be creative and strategically minded and an excellent communicator.
