September 2010 Youthinc 5 Youth Development Group and Sunderland Youth Parliament Online and focus groups consultation with Young people aged 13 – 19 yrs, councilors, Managers and practitioners to help inform decisions by Sunderland City Council in relation to Youth Service priorities and its future spending requirements. 14th July 2011 Youth Work in a digital Age NE conference VOME/Community IT/ PAG / A690/ Media Savvy / YAP / HYPP / SSCB / Sunderland University Organised by SVSYF and attended by over 100 practicioners and young people attended the North Easts 1st ever Digital Youth Work conference at Sunderland University.  
7th December 2010 Engaging with young people on-line VOME – Visualization and other Methods of Engagement (Universities of Royal Holloway, Salford and Cranfield) 8 youth work practitioners (all members of SVSYF) invited to British Museum, London to participate and contribute to discussions regarding issues around consent, privacy when engaging with young people on-line

May 2011 ICT equipment and on-line technology guidelines for voluntary sector youth providers Community IT and youth Development Group Quality Assurance Team We are busy developing good practice guidelines including Getting involved in Social Media and similar on-line technologies for our members to use, amend or adopt. These guidelines should be complete by march 2011 – we will upload them here, keep checking back!

ongoing Accrediting the youth work curriculum ASDAN (North East Regional Team) SVSYF Coordinate a network of youth work organisations using ASDAN short courses to accredit the work young people take part in “outside of school”. In 2009/10 422 young people accredited 8120 hours of learning outside of the classroom

Aug 11- Ongoing Anti Bullying Charter Mark City of Sunderland YDG QA team After Successful pilot in 2011 involving PAG / A690 / YAP / YMCA HB. ABCM has now been rolled out to other organisations in 2012. Guidelines have been produced to help oganisations gain the Charter mark and training including E-learning,  
July 2011 Safeguarding Toolkit City of Sunderland Youth Development Group & Education Safeguarding Team In accordance with new OFSTED legislation for projects working with young people off school site we are developing a toolkit that projects will work through to ensure all policies, procedures and guidelines are up to date and comply with new legislation Once completed this toolkit will be available (along with template policies and procedures) to download by our members. This should be complete by April 2011
