Young Achievers Awards - We are delighted that our two nominations for Sunderland Young Achievers Awards were successful:- Lois Chapman was the outright winner in her category (Service to the Community-11-14year olds.) Lois volunteers every week at PYP and attends the SMART youth club where she helps young people with disabilities to participate in activities they would not normally have access to. Michael Lamb received a “Highly Commended” Award. Michael has attended the PYP Music Studio since he was 14; he was very quiet and had little self confidence. He showed great interest in learning to play the guitar and became very dedicated to music. He has gone onto develop a talent that has amazed staff, his family and probably himself!. His confidence has developed considerably and he now enjoys demonstrating his talent and passing on his skills to other young people.
Breakfast Club Young people can enjoy a hearty breakfast on the way to school. Open from 8.30am every weekday morning in our café area. Young people can play pool, table tennis or meet up with their friends. Mums and dads welcome too – why not pop in before going shopping?
