Streetgames and Sports Leaders - A partnership between StreetGames and Sports Leaders UK has enabled us to offer community based StreetGames projects the chance to become qualified to deliver the Level 1 (JSLA) and Level 2 (CSLA) Awards.
The tutor training day, which is free for StreetGames projects, will take place on Wednesday 24th June at the Centre for Sport in Newcastle from 9am - 4pm. This training normally costs attendees £170 to attend, so I'm sure you will agree this is a fantastic opportunity. If you are interested in attending the course and will agree to run the course with young people from your project afterwards, please contact Adam Barrigan at Sports Leaders UK, his details are - 07825620662 or email Adam will be able to forward you the booking information. In addition to this, those who attend the course will also be offered the chance to apply for grants of up to £250 to assist them in rolling out the awards back in their projects - this will be explained in more detail on the day of the course.

Streetcheer - The Sport of Smiles

For those workers who have already attended Streetcheer training OR for workers interested into the training but not quite sure if they would enjoy it or it would be beneficial why not attend our FREE TASTER session.
Qualified streetcheer tutors can get the chance to enhance their skills, gain confidence, meet Rachel the local rep, and try out some new moves.
Untrained workers can see what Streetcheer is like in practice.

Streetcheer Tutors level 1 coaching course
There will be another Streetcheer Tutor Level 1 course running
On: Friday 29th May 09 (during 1/2 term week)
Time: 10.00am - 4.00pm
Venue: Bunnyhill Centre
The course is for voluntary sector projects who are members of SVSYF. If anyone is interested in attending the training please complete the application form below and return to Amanda asap as places are strictly limited.
Priority will be given to projects which do not have trained Streetcheer tutors already and that have a clear plan as to how this they can incorporate streetgames into their youth work curriculum.
The training has been subsidised by Streetgames North East and Community & Cultural Services.
